Where is In The Valley located?

We’re tucked between the Cederberg and the West Coast, outside Clanwilliam. – A scenic two-and-a-half-hour drive from Cape Town.

Is the house private, or do we share with other guests?

The entire farmhouse and it’s surrounding are exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Enjoy complete privacy and uninterrupted views.

What's included with my stay?

We provide high-quality linen, towels, certain toiletries, reading material & board games, firewood for your first braai, and a special welcome gift of homemade bread, farm eggs, and peach jam. – Please refer to our amenities for a full list.

Is the hot tub private and how does it work?

Yes, the Kol-Kol wood-fired hot tub is 100% private and exclusively for your use. It’s heated with firewood and offers panoramic valley views – perfect for sunrise or sunset.
We sell firewood at a small fee, the wood is at the house for your convenience and payments are accepted via cash in the honesty jar.

Do you have Wi-Fi and cellphone signal?

Yes! We offer free Wi-Fi at the house, so you can stay connected while still escaping the rush of city life.
Cell signal is limited on the farm.

Do we need to bring our own food and drinks?

Yes, In The Valley is a self-catering farm stay. You do need to bring your own food and drinks – though we do recommend stocking up while en route as our nearest town is a 30km drive from the farm.

Can we explore the farm?

Absolutely! Guests are encouraged to walk, hike, trail run, cycle, or fish in our dam. Please bring your own bicycle and fishing gear if you plan to use them.

Are children welcome?

Yes – families love our open spaces and friendly farm animals.

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate pets, as the property is home to farm animals that roam freely.

Are insects a problem?

Not usually, but insects are part of farm life – especially in spring. We recommend bringing insect repellent if you’re sensitive. Doom is provided for your convenience.
